 Past Tense


This winter, Mia 1) Learned to skate. Her friend 2) had an extra pair of skates. He 3) persuded her to go with him one Saturday afternoon in February. She 4) Borrowed the skates and they 5) went skating. It 6) was cold outside. They 7) wore hats, scarves and mitts to keep warm. He 8) showed her how to put on the skates. He 9) helped her walk onto the ice. He 10) showed her how to start moving. He also 11) showed her how to stop. She 12) moved very slowly at first and lots of people 13) skated past her. She 14) fell nobody 15) laughed at her. Instead, they 16) helped her get back up. She 17) thanked them. She 18) kept trying. Soon She 19) felt much better. She 20) liked skating.
